The Government of Odisha is set to present its vision, policy framework, and implementation readiness in Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, being held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from February 16 to 20, 2026. A dedicated Odisha Pavilion at the summit will highlight the State’s theme,“Odisha – From AI to Impact,”reflecting its transition from pilot initiatives to large-scale, real-world AI deployments.
The pavilion will showcase how AI is being integrated across multiple sectors, including governance, healthcare, agriculture, education, disaster management, and urban infrastructure. The initiative demonstrates Odisha’s structured implementation model supported by institutional capacity, policy backing, and long-term infrastructure planning.
A key highlight of Odisha’s participation is its collaboration with Sarvam, aimed at building sovereign AI capabilities, expanding advanced computing infrastructure, and enabling large-scale Odia-language AI applications. The partnership underscores the State’s focus on inclusive and accessible AI solutions tailored to regional needs.
More than ten innovation startups, research organisations, and technology partners will participate in the Odisha Pavilion, presenting applied AI solutions and showcasing the State’s growing innovation ecosystem. These exhibits will reflect Odisha’s commitment to democratising access to AI technologies and fostering innovation-driven growth.
Odisha Minister Mukesh Mahaling noted that the State has been proactive in AI adoption, highlighting that Odisha was the first state in India to approve an AI Policy in 2025 and host a Regional AI Impact Summit. Officials are also expected to make a detailed announcement on February 18, providing further insights into use cases, partnerships, and future AI-driven opportunities.
With a strong policy framework, collaborative ecosystem, and emphasis on practical deployment, Odisha’s participation in the India AI Impact Summit 2026 signals its ambition to emerge as a leading hub for AI-driven governance and socio-economic transformation in India.
