Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Monday that India’s position on ongoing global tensions is clear, stressing the importance of peace and stability. Speaking after talks with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Carney at Hyderabad House, New Delhi, he said that when two democracies stand together, their collective voice for peace is stronger.

Commenting specifically on the situation in West Asia, Modi described it as “a matter of deep concern” and reiterated that India supports resolving disputes through dialogue and diplomacy. He also emphasized that India will continue to work closely with countries in the region to ensure the safety and security of Indian citizens.

His remarks come in the backdrop of escalating conflict after US President Donald Trump announced major combat operations against Iran, resulting in numerous casualties and attacks across multiple countries. Modi’s statement underscores India’s commitment to a balanced diplomatic approach while protecting its citizens abroad.
