Former Australia captain Michael Clarke has identified Jasprit Bumrahas the potential game-changer ahead of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 final between India national cricket teamand New Zealand national cricket team.
The highly anticipated final is scheduled to take place on March 8 at theNarendra Modi StadiuminAhmedabad. India reached the final after a thrilling seven-run victory over England national cricket team in the semifinal, where Bumrah delivered a crucial spell.
During the semifinal, Bumrah bowled a tight 18th over, conceding just six runs, which played a major role in restricting England during the chase. The pressure was maintained by Hardik Pandya, who followed up with another disciplined over to seal the win for India.
Speaking on the Beyond23 cricket podcast, Clarke praised Bumrah’s ability to execute under pressure, calling him the best bowler in the world. According to Clarke, Bumrah’s versatility across formats and his ability to bowl in crucial phases of the match make him a defining player for India.
