ନୂଆଦିଲ୍ଲୀ:Gold jewellery କିଣୁଥିବା consumersଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ hallmarking ହେଉଛି ସୁନାର purity ଓ authenticity ଯାଞ୍ଚ କରିବାର ଏକ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା। ଏବେ BIS gold hallmarking feeକୁ ପ୍ରତି article ₹45ରୁ ବଢ଼ାଇ₹75କରିଛି। ଏହା ସହ ପ୍ରତି consignment ପାଇଁ minimum charge ₹200 ରଖାଯାଇଛି। Silver hallmarking fee ତଥାପି ₹35 ପ୍ରତି articleରେ ଅପରିବର୍ତ୍ତିତ ରହିଛି।

ଏହି revised rate BIS (Hallmarking) Amendment Regulations, 2026 ଅନୁସାରେ September 14ରୁ ଲାଗୁ ହୋଇଛି। ଏକ properly hallmarked gold articleରେ ସାଧାରଣତଃBIS logo, purity/fineness mark ଏବଂ six-digit alphanumeric HUID numberରହିଥାଏ।

Hallmarking charge ବଢ଼ିବାକୁ ନେଇ All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council ଚିନ୍ତା ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିଛି। Councilର ମତ ହେଉଛି, mandatory compliance cost ବଢ଼ିଲେ କିଛି ଅସାଧୁ jewellers fake hallmark stamps ବ୍ୟବହାର କରି consumersଙ୍କୁ gold purity ବିଷୟରେ ଭ୍ରମିତ କରିବାର risk ବଢ଼ିପାରେ। ଏହା industry bodyର ଏକrisk warning, ସମସ୍ତ jewellers fake hallmark ବ୍ୟବହାର କରୁଛନ୍ତି ବୋଲି କୌଣସି ନିଷ୍କର୍ଷ ନୁହେଁ।

Consumers gold jewellery କିଣିବା ସମୟରେ କେବଳ hallmark ଚିହ୍ନ ଦେଖି ରୁହିନଥାଇ BIS logo, purity mark ଏବଂ HUID number ସଠିକ୍ ଅଛି କି ନାହିଁ ଯାଞ୍ଚ କରିବା ଉଚିତ। Recognised jewellerଠାରୁ କିଣିବା ଏବଂ proper invoice ନେବା ମଧ୍ୟ fraud risk କମାଇବାରେ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କରିପାରେ। BIS hallmarking system precious metalsର purity verification ପାଇଁ ବ୍ୟବହୃତ ହୁଏ।
