Actress Genelia Deshmukh recently shared insights into her relationship with Riteish Deshmukh, revealing why the couple chose not to live together before marriage. Speaking on a talk show, Genelia said that although they were in a relationship for nearly ten years before tying the knot in 2012, they maintained clear boundaries and even stayed in separate rooms while traveling.
She clarified that the decision was not due to family pressure but a personal choice, as they wanted to experience living together only after marriage. Riteish Deshmukh also emphasized that respecting each other’s space and following a traditional approach made their transition into married life feel special. The couple, who first met on the sets of their debut film in 2003, are now regarded as one of Bollywood’s most admired and stable pairs.
