Delhi Police Alleges Youth Congress Protest at AI Summit Inspired by Nepal Gen Z Movement

Delhi Police told a court that the Youth Congress shirtless protest at the AI Summit in New Delhi was part of a larger conspiracy inspired by Nepal’s Gen Z protests. Four activists were arrested for disrupting the event attended by global leaders.

A major controversy erupted after members of the Youth Congress staged a shirtless protest against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during an AI Summit in New Delhi.

According to Delhi Police, the protest was allegedly inspired by Nepal’s Gen Z political movement, and officials suspect a larger conspiracy behind the demonstration. Police informed the court that the accused need to be confronted with digital evidence and questioned about the funding behind the protest, including the printing of T-shirts carrying slogans such as “PM is compromised,” “India-US Trade Deal,” and “Epstein Files.”

Around 10 activists entered the high-security summit venue and raised slogans against the Prime Minister. Security personnel quickly intervened, and four protesters were arrested.

The protest sparked a political clash between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Indian National Congress. BJP leaders called the act anti-national and accused Congress of harming India’s global image, especially in front of tech leaders like Sam Altman and Sundar Pichai.

Congress defended the protest, calling it a democratic expression reflecting youth concerns and political dissatisfaction.
