CBSE directs schools to use PM eVidya channel 15 for Classes 9–11 learning

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has directed its affiliated schools to actively use PM eVidya’s CBSE Channel 15 to support classroom teaching and enhance student learning. The circular, issued on January 7, 2026, emphasizes integrating these digital resources into daily lessons.

CBSE Channel 15, part of the PM eVidya initiative launched in 2024, currently offers 67 curated educational videos for students of Classes 9 to 11 and content to strengthen teachers’ pedagogical skills. The channel covers core subjects like Mathematics, Science, and Social Science, along with modules on experiential learning, storytelling, assessment methods, cyber safety, and implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The initiative aims to bridge learning gaps and provide quality educational content across regions, ensuring equitable access for all students. Videos are broadcast repeatedly and available on-demand via YouTube, allowing students to learn at their own pace while helping teachers incorporate them into lesson plans and classroom activities.

CBSE has highlighted that all content is developed by subject experts and meets national standards for educational programming. Schools have been instructed to ensure necessary infrastructure is in place and to familiarize teachers and students with the digital resources for revision, enrichment, and remedial learning.

Furthermore, CBSE encourages experienced educators and academic resource persons to collaborate with its Centres of Excellence to create additional high-quality educational videos, expanding the reach and impact of the PM eVidya programme.
