Odisha is in the final stage of preparations for the state-level 77th Republic Day celebrations, scheduled to be held in Bhubaneswar. Authorities have intensified arrangements to ensure a smooth, disciplined, and dignified ceremony in the state capital. At Lower PMG Square, a full-dress rehearsal is currently underway to ensure seamless coordination among all participating units.
The Republic Day parade will feature 54 contingents comprising personnel from the CRPF, Odisha Industrial Security Force (OISF), Home Guards, Civil Defence, and students from various government and private educational institutions. Adding to the grandeur, 12 departmental tableaux will be displayed, showcasing Odisha’s developmental achievements and welfare initiatives.
Cultural diversity will take centre stage with performances by five folk dance and folk art troupes from different districts. The event will also include thrilling demonstrations by daredevil teams and skating groups. Officials have assured that elaborate security and logistical measures are in place to ensure the celebrations are conducted safely and smoothly, making it a memorable occasion reflecting patriotism, unity, and Odisha’s cultural pride.
