An eight-minute sequence featuring Prabhas in an aged look has been added to Maruthi’s horror-comedy The RajaSaab following fan feedback. The film released in theaters on January 9, 2026.
Speaking at a press conference, Maruthi said, “Prabhas fans aren’t disappointed with the film, but weren’t fully satisfied either. The trailer showed him in an old look with attitude and swag, and some viewers couldn’t process that in the story. So, I revised the second half last evening to include the missing 8–9 minute episode. I am sure it will be mind-blowing—especially the roof fight scene, which Prabhas worked very hard for.”
Producer TG Vishwa Prasad of People’s Media Factory added that technical issues had delayed the inclusion of four minutes of Prabhas’ old-avatar scenes, but these have now been cleaned up and added to theaters without changing the film’s runtime. A portion of the credits was trimmed to accommodate the sequence.
On the film’s performance, Vishwa said, “We expected it to cross Rs 100 crore, and it made Rs 112 crore. Families and kids are enjoying it, though some intellectuals have given mixed feedback.” Maruthi concluded, “Many are discussing various episodes, and some who didn’t understand the story are criticizing us. I urge everyone not to prejudge the film.”
