AI Surveillance Deployed as Council of Higher Secondary Education Begins Plus 2 Exams Across Odisha

Odisha’s Plus 2 exams have started with AI-enabled CCTV surveillance and live streaming to prevent malpractice. Over 4 lakh students are appearing, with strict security, flying squads, and monitoring at exam hubs and centres.

The annual Plus 2 examinations conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) have commenced across Odisha with unprecedented security measures, including AI-enabled CCTV cameras and live monitoring systems.

For the first time, question paper hubs are under AI surveillance, with live streaming from the moment papers leave storage until they are opened at exam centres. This step aims to ensure transparency and prevent malpractice during the examination process.

A total of 4,01,623 students are appearing for the Plus Two exams, which will continue until March 28. Students have been instructed to reach their centres by 9:30 am for verification and seating procedures.

To strengthen security, 102 flying squads have been deployed, and strong rooms storing question papers are under constant surveillance. Authorities stated that strict action will be taken if any irregularities are detected.

Meanwhile, the Matric (High School Certificate) exams will begin soon, with over 5.6 lakh students appearing at more than 3,000 centres across the state. Officials assured that all arrangements have been made for smooth and fair conduct of the examinations.
