A tense situation unfolded inTarbha town of Subarnapur districton Thursday after a youth climbed a tall telecom tower and remained perched at the top for hours, defying multiple rescue attempts. The incident occurred behind the Marwadi Dharamshala, whereSumit Sahu, a resident of Sunaripada, climbed the tower and refused to descend despite repeated pleas.
Local residents immediately alerted the fire services department, prompting a quick response from rescue teams. Fire personnel and locals attempted to counsel Sumit repeatedly, urging him to come down for his safety. However, he continued to ignore their requests and remained stationed at the top.
