A light-hearted exchange during the promotion ofDo Deewane Seher Meinhas once again brought Mrunal Thakur’s personal life into the spotlight. While addressing the media alongside co-star Siddhant Chaturvedi, a casual reference to “Chennai” prompted laughter and teasing from reporters, leaving Mrunal visibly blushing and amused. The moment quickly went viral online.

The remark resonated due to ongoing rumours linking Mrunal with Tamil superstar Dhanush, who is based in Chennai. Speculation began last August after the two were spotted together at the premiere ofSon of Sardaar 2. Since then, their social media interactions and public appearances have kept fans guessing.

The buzz intensified when Dhanush commented on the teaser ofDo Deewane Seher Mein, and even escalated into false reports of a secret Valentine’s Day wedding in 2026 — claims later denied by sources close to both actors. More recently, an AI-generated video falsely depicting their wedding circulated widely, highlighting how digital misinformation has added fuel to the rumours.

Despite the chatter, Mrunal has remained focused on her work, calling herself grounded and unaffected by speculation. She has described Dhanush as a good friend, while continuing to promote her upcoming film, which remains firmly in the spotlight.
