Love & War: Vicky Kaushal Shares Shooting Update, Team Gears Up for Key Schedule

Vicky Kaushal confirms that Love & War is currently being filmed, praises director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and says the team is enjoying the journey despite reports of a possible delay.

Amid speculation about a possible delay, Vicky Kaushal has confirmed that the shooting of Love & War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is progressing as planned. The actor clarified that the film is actively being shot and that the team is thoroughly enjoying the creative journey, dismissing rumours of any production halt.

Speaking about the experience, Vicky praised Bhansali’s distinctive cinematic vision, calling him a “unique voice from India.” In an interview with Just Too Filmy, the actor said that working with the acclaimed filmmaker has always been a dream and that being part of a Bhansali film within the first decade of his career feels truly special. He described the director as a master of his craft and expressed gratitude for the opportunity.

Vicky also shared his excitement about collaborating with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, adding that the trio is having a great time on set. He assured fans that audiences can expect to see the film release next year.

Earlier, Alia Bhatt had also spoken highly of Love & War, calling it a deeply special project. She revealed that despite shooting extensively throughout the year, the experience never feels exhausting. According to her, the energy on set is so engaging that it often leaves the team wanting more time to explore the story and characters.

Meanwhile, reports have suggested that Love & War might not meet its initially expected Eid 2026 release, possibly to avoid a box-office clash with Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups. Industry sources claim that a significant portion of the shoot remains, with nearly 75 days still pending, and that the cast has blocked dates until summer 2026—potentially pushing the release to the latter half of the year. However, the makers have not officially confirmed any delay or announced a revised release date so far.
