V Srinivasan, the husband of Indian Olympic Association President and Rajya Sabha MP P T Usha, passed away early Friday at the age of 67. He collapsed at his residence and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors were unable to revive him.
A former central government employee, Srinivasan was widely recognized as a pillar of support for Usha throughout her illustrious career in athletics and politics. The couple has one son, Ujjwal.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed condolences to the bereaved family, highlighting Srinivasan’s integral role in supporting one of India’s most celebrated athletes and sports administrators.
