UPSC Civil Services Exam 2026: CSE Prelims Notification to Be Released This Week at upsc.gov.in

UPSC CSE 2026 Notification Live Updates:The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is expected to release the detailed notification for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2026 on or beforeJanuary 14, 2026 (Wednesday). As per the official UPSC calendar, theCivil Services Preliminary Examination 2026is scheduled to be held onMay 24, 2026, while the application window is likely to remain open untilFebruary 3, 2026.

Once the notification is released, complete details regardingonline registration dates, examination schedule, eligibility criteria, vacancies, syllabus, and result timelinewill be clarified. The notification will be updated on this page as well as on the official UPSC website,upsc.gov.in.

The UPSC Civil Services Examination is conducted inthree stages— Preliminary Examination (objective-type GS Paper I and CSAT), Main Examination, and Personality Test (Interview). Candidates qualifying the Prelims will be shortlisted for the Mains examination, scheduled to begin inAugust 2026, followed by the final interview stage.

As per eligibility norms, candidates must hold abachelor’s degree from a recognised universityand be at least21 years of age. Applicants from the General category should not exceed32 years, with age relaxations applicable for reserved categories. Final-year students are also eligible to apply.

UPSC has also announced thatfacial authentication will be mandatoryat examination centres to further strengthen the integrity of the recruitment process. Aspirants are advised to regularly check the official website and this page for real-time updates.
