The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the NEET (UG) 2026 notification, marking the start of the medical admission season in India. The online application process is now live on neet.nta.nic.in, and candidates must complete registration, form submission and fee payment by March 8, 2026.
NEET UG 2026 will be conducted on May 3, 2026, in a single shift from 2 pm to 5 pm. The examination will serve as the sole entrance test for admission to undergraduate medical, dental and allied courses across government and private institutions in India.
Applicants must submit only one online application, as multiple submissions can lead to disqualification. NTA has also announced a correction window from March 10 to March 12, allowing candidates to rectify errors in their forms. Application fees vary by category, with separate charges for candidates appearing at centres outside India.
With registrations crossing 20 lakh in recent years, aspirants are advised to apply early, carefully read the information bulletin, and regularly check official websites for updates on admit cards, exam cities, answer keys and results.
