The Chhattisgarh State Waqf Board has instructed all Waqf-managed mosques, madrasas, and dargahs to hoist the Tricolour at their main gates on January 26, 2026, as a mark of respect for the Constitution and national unity. The directive emphasizes patriotism, communal harmony, and visibility of the flag during Republic Day celebrations.

Ahead of India’s 77th Republic Day, the Chhattisgarh State Waqf Board has issued a directive mandating that the National Flag be prominently hoisted at the main entrances of all mosques, madrasas, and dargahs under Waqf management. The order aims to honor the Constitution, democratic values, and national unity. Board Chairman Dr. Salim Raj highlighted that Republic Day is a celebration for all citizens, emphasizing patriotism, brotherhood, and communal harmony.
