SpiceJet Flight to Leh Returns to Delhi After Mid-Air Technical Snag

A SpiceJet flight bound for Leh returned to Delhi shortly after takeoff due to a technical issue. The aircraft landed safely at Indira Gandhi International Airport, and all passengers were disembarked without injuries.

A SpiceJet flight operating from Delhi to Leh was forced to return shortly after takeoff on Tuesday after the crew detected a technical snag. Flight SG 121 made a precautionary return and landed safely at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.

According to the airline, there was no fire warning in the cockpit, and the decision to return was taken purely as a safety measure. All passengers were safely disembarked, and no injuries or emergencies were reported.

The airline confirmed that the aircraft has been withdrawn from service for detailed inspection. SpiceJet also stated that alternative travel arrangements were being made to ensure passengers could reach their destination without further inconvenience.

This incident follows a similar case in November 2025, when a SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Kolkata made an emergency landing due to an engine-related technical issue. The latest development highlights the airline’s precautionary approach to passenger safety.
