Dr Navjot Kaur Sidhu, former MLA and minister, announced her resignation from the Congress via social media, sharply criticizing Punjab Congress leadership, including PPCC chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring. She accused the party of weakening its organisational strength, sidelining loyal leaders, and selectively rewarding a few individuals.
Previously elected on a BJP ticket, Dr Sidhu joined Congress along with her husband but has remained outspoken on party matters. Her exit fuels speculation about a possible return to the BJP and is viewed as a significant political development in Punjab.
