around 9,550 kg of explosive material from a deserted farmhouse in Harsaur village of Nagaur district. The operation was carried out jointly by the district special team and Thawla police based on intelligence inputs.
During the raid, police recovered 187 sacks of ammonium nitrate along with detonators, detonator wires, and other explosive components stored across four rooms of the farmhouse. Officials said the accused admitted during preliminary questioning that the explosives were supplied to those involved in illegal mining.
Nagaur Superintendent of Police Mridul Kachhawa said the seized consignment is valued at several crores in the illegal market. A case has been registered under the Explosives Act, Explosive Substances Act, and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The accused has been remanded to police custody, and further investigations are ongoing to uncover the wider smuggling network.
