Odisha is likely to experience a gradual rise in day temperatures over the next two days, with the mercury expected to increase by around 2 to 3 degrees Celsius across several parts of the state.
According to the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) in Bhubaneswar, the rise in temperature will begin from Tuesday and continue into Wednesday, bringing warmer conditions in many regions.
Weather officials stated that the increase in temperature will be noticeable during this period. However, the department clarified that there will not be any significant change in temperature during the subsequent three days, indicating relatively stable weather conditions after the initial rise.
The weather office has predicted that the day temperature will gradually increase by 2–3°C across Odisha over the next two days. The rise in mercury is expected to bring warmer daytime conditions in several districts.
Despite this increase, the department indicated that temperatures are likely to stabilise afterward, with no major fluctuations expected for at least three days.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has also issued a forecast of rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in parts of north Odisha.
Ayellow warninghas been issued for four districts—Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore and Bhadrak—where thunderstorm activity may occur during the morning hours.
The weather office stated that light rain along with thunder and lightning may affect some areas in these districts until around 8:30 am.
Along with thunderstorms, gusty winds are also expected in the affected areas. According to the forecast, wind speeds may reach30 to 40 kilometres per hourduring thunderstorm activity.
Weather officials have advised residents in the affected districts to remain cautious during thunderstorm conditions. While north Odisha may witness rain and thunderstorms, the rest of the state is expected to experience a gradual rise in daytime temperatures over the next couple of days.
