Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan condemned the United States and Israel for their military actions against Iran, describing them as acts of "hooliganism" and "imperialist aggression." Speaking during the inauguration of a government township for landslide survivors, Vijayan accused the US of undermining national sovereignty and targeting Iran without justification, including the killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his family members.
He labelled Israel as a "rogue nation" allied with American imperial power, criticising the global expectation for nations to follow identical policies under US influence. The CM emphasised that countries, like individuals, should act with mutual respect and questioned the justification behind attacks on Iran.
In response to the conflict, Vijayan stated that he has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting urgent intervention to ensure the safety of Indian citizens living in the Middle East.
