The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), via its Space Applications Centre (SAC), has announced its 2026 recruitment drive for Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ and ‘SD’ positions. The notification invites applications for 49 unreserved vacancies across specialised engineering domains, presenting a significant opportunity for postgraduate engineers.
The online application process commenced on January 13, 2026, and will conclude on February 12, 2026. Of the total vacancies, 45 posts are for Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ and four for Scientist/Engineer ‘SD’. Candidates must hold an ME or MTech degree in relevant disciplines such as Electronics and Communication, RF/Microwave/Radar Engineering, Microelectronics, VLSI, or Embedded Systems, with a minimum of 60 percent marks or a CGPA of 6.5.
Selection for ‘SC’ posts will involve a written examination followed by an interview, while ‘SD’ candidates will be shortlisted based on experience and interviewed directly. Scientist/Engineer ‘SD’ roles fall under Level-11 of the pay matrix, with salaries ranging from Rs 67,100 to Rs 2,08,700 per month, in addition to allowances.
