India Showcases Military Might and Indigenous Defence Power at 77th Republic Day Parade

India’s defence preparedness and technological strength were prominently displayed at the 77th Republic Day parade at Kartavya Path. Mechanised columns, advanced weapon systems, special forces demonstrations, and an impressive Air Force flypast highlighted the nation’s growing self-reliant defence capability.

India’s defence capability and technological advancement were on full display during the 77th Republic Day parade held at Kartavya Path, New Delhi. The grand ceremony, attended by top national leaders and foreign dignitaries, showcased the country’s military strength, discipline, and commitment to modernisation.

A key highlight of this year’s parade was the focus on India’s self-reliant defence ecosystem and preparedness to counter emerging security challenges. Mechanised columns of the Indian Army rolled down Kartavya Path, displaying frontline combat platforms, missile systems, and armoured vehicles that emphasised mobility, firepower, and coordinated operations.

Indigenous defence equipment formed a major part of the display, reflecting India’s push towards self-reliance in defence manufacturing under the ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative. Special forces units also showcased advanced combat skills and modern operational capabilities, highlighting the integration of new technologies such as drones and force-multiplying systems.

The spectacle was further enhanced by a synchronised flypast by Indian Air Force fighter jets and helicopters, symbolising air superiority and joint operational readiness. In addition to the military display, vibrant tableaux from various states and central government departments highlighted India’s cultural diversity, development goals, and national vision.

The parade reinforced the message of unity, resilience, and progress, serving as a powerful reminder of India’s commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty while strengthening technological self-reliance and strategic preparedness.
