Youth Killed, Two Critically Injured in Violent Land Dispute Clash in Kendrapara, Odisha

In Narilo village, under Kendrapara Sadar police station limits, a violent clash over a land dispute resulted in the death of one youth and serious injuries to two others.

A youth was killed and two others sustained serious injuries following a violent clash over a land dispute in Narilo village under Kendrapara Sadar police station on Saturday night. The deceased has been identified as Upendra Ojha. Police said the incident stemmed from a long-standing family dispute over land that escalated into physical violence.

According to reports, tensions flared on Saturday evening when Rajkishore Ojha allegedly got into an argument with his nephew Upendra, which gradually intensified into a violent confrontation.

Assault Following Family Dispute

Police sources said Rajkishore Ojha, along with his wife and son, allegedly attacked Upendra using various weapons. During the assault, Rajkishore reportedly struck Upendra with a crowbar, causing grievous injuries. Upendra’s parents, Sanjukta and Saroj Kanta, were also seriously injured in the attack.

All three injured family members were immediately rushed to a hospital. Despite medical intervention, Upendra succumbed to his injuries later that night, while his parents remained in critical condition.

Family Left Behind

Upendra Ojha is survived by his wife and a one-year-old daughter. The condition of the two injured family members continues to be critical.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident and said further action will be taken based on its findings.
