As the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 reaches the semi-final stage, the India vs England clash at Wankhede Stadium has fans closely monitoring weather conditions. Earlier matches in the tournament were disrupted by rain, prompting the ICC to schedule a reserve day for both semi-finals to ensure a fair outcome.

If rain interrupts play, the match will either continue or restart on the reserve day, with 90 minutes of extra time on the main day and 120 minutes on the reserve day. A minimum of 10 overs per team is required to declare a result. If this threshold isn’t met, the match resumes from the same score on the reserve day.

In the event that the semi-final cannot be completed even after the reserve day, the team with the higher position in the Super 8 stage advances. Since England finished first in their group and India second, England would progress if the match is abandoned. In the other semi-final, South Africa would move past New Zealand if their game is washed out. The final is set for March 8 in Ahmedabad.
