An Indian Air Force Wing Commander posted in Raipur and associated with anti-Naxal operations in Chhattisgarh was found dead at his residence on Wednesday morning in what police suspect to be a case of suicide.

The officer has been identified as Wing Commander Vipul Yadav. At the time of the incident, his wife was reportedly in Delhi for work, while their two children were asleep in another room of the house.

According to police sources, the body was first discovered by the family’s domestic help, who immediately alerted others. After receiving the information, senior police officials along with forensic teams reached the residence and began an investigation.

During the preliminary examination, investigators did not find any suicide note at the scene. Following the required panchnama procedures, the body was sent for post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death.

Police officials said the officer’s wife had earlier served in the Indian Air Force and is currently working in the IT sector in Bengaluru. Preliminary information suggests the couple had frequent disagreements, and investigators are looking into the possibility that personal issues may have contributed to the incident.

Authorities said all angles are being examined as part of the ongoing investigation.
