In Solan district near Shimla, an 18-year-old ITI student named Parvesh Sharma survived a terrifying leopard attack early in the morning.
According to reports, the teenager was heading out to fetch milk when the three-year-old leopard suddenly pounced on him just a short distance from his home.
Instead of panicking, the teenager reacted quickly and tried to protect his neck from the animal’s jaws while struggling with the predator.
During the fight, he reportedly grabbed stones and rocks lying nearby and repeatedly struck the animal on the head until it died. Despite the dangerous encounter, the young man managed to survive.
The incident attracted widespread attention due to the youngster’s presence of mind and courage in the face of a life-threatening attack.
A similar encounter was reported recently from Odisha, where a leopard reportedly entered a village and attacked a resident.
During the violent clash, the villager defended himself and fought back against the animal. In the struggle that followed, the leopard eventually died.
Forest officials later reached the spot to examine the situation and investigate the circumstances surrounding the animal’s death.
Wildlife experts say such incidents are rare but highlight the increasing conflicts between humans and wild animals.
