ED Conducts Raids at Ganjam BJD Leader Hrushikesh Padhi’s Residences Over Disproportionate Assets Allegations

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday conducted raids at several properties linked to Ganjam BJD leader and contractor Hrushikesh Padhi, investigating allegations of disproportionate assets.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday conducted raids at multiple properties linked to Ganjam district BJD leader and contractor Hrushikesh Padhi as part of an investigation into alleged disproportionate assets. Three ED teams carried out searches early in the morning at Padhi’s ancestral home in Sheragada, his son’s residence in Jayaprakash Nagar, Berhampur, and a premises in Gandhi Nagar, Berhampur. Padhi currently serves as the vice-president of the Ganjam district BJD.

The action follows allegations that Padhi, who started as a contractor and later entered politics, accumulated significant assets in a short period. He is reported to own a petrol pump and a pipe showroom, raising questions about the source of his wealth.

Security has been tightened at all raid sites, with armed police deployed and access restricted, including for media personnel. Officials have not shared details of the ongoing searches. Further updates are awaited as the ED continues its investigation across the different locations linked to the BJD leader.
