A shocking shooting incident took place at The Royal Treat hotel in Rajasthan’s Churu district, where armed assailants opened fire early Wednesday morning. According to police, three attackers entered the hotel around 3 am and fired more than 10 rounds within seconds. The hotel owner, Maniram Manda, was shot dead on the spot, while three others—Bhikharam Jat, Shravan Jat and Prabhu Ram Prajapat—sustained serious injuries and were shifted to a hospital for advanced medical treatment.
CCTV footage of the incident, which has surfaced on social media, shows the attackers barging into the restaurant area where several people were present. The gunmen repeatedly fired at the victims, even at close range, before fleeing the location.
Churu Superintendent of Police Jai Yadav said police reached the spot soon after receiving information about the attack. The area has been sealed, and evidence has been collected with the help of a dog squad and a forensic science laboratory (FSL) team.
Authorities are currently scanning CCTV footage to identify the attackers. Three police teams have been formed to track down the accused. While the exact motive behind the attack remains unclear, officials suspect a possible dispute linked to the deceased businessman, who was involved in the liquor and hotel business. The investigation is ongoing.
