Chhattisgarh Man, 55, Beats 5-Year-Old, Threatens Her Over Complaints

Ansari, 55, allegedly lured a 5-year-old girl to his house with chocolates and assaulted her repeatedly from January 7 to 11. The child stayed silent out of fear after he threatened to kill her if she revealed the abuse.

A case of sexual assault involving a 5-year-old girl has come to light in the Civil Lines police station area, triggering shock and outrage in the locality. According to the survivor's statement, the accused, Ansari, 55, lured the girl to his house by offering chocolates, and assaulted her repeatedly between January 7 and 11.

The child reportedly remained silent due to fear, as the accused allegedly threatened to kill her if she disclosed the incident to anyone. The matter came to light only when the physical pain became unbearable.

According to police officials, the incident surfaced on January 12, when the child complained of severe pain in her private parts while being bathed by her aunt.

Alarmed by the child’s condition and distress, family members gently questioned her, following which she narrated the ordeal she had allegedly undergone over several days.

As per the statement recorded by the police, Ansari, allegedly took the minor to his house on the pretext of offering chocolates and other items from a nearby shop.

The family immediately approached the Civil Lines police, after which a case was registered, and the accused was taken into custody. Police officials said that investigations are underway and the accused will be produced before the court as per due process of law.

As a precautionary measure, additional security has been deployed in the area to prevent any untoward incident.

The case triggered strong public outrage. Members of Bajrang Dal, along with the victim’s family, reached the police station yesterday demanding strict punishment for the accused.

Bajrang dal members were quoted saying "swift and stringent action must be taken at the earliest to ensure justice for the minor."

The incident once again highlights the persistent vulnerability of children and raises serious concerns about child safety and community vigilance.

As per National Crime Records Bureau data trends, cases of sexual offences against minors continue to remain a matter of serious concern across several states, including Chhattisgarh, despite fluctuations in reported numbers.

Local Police have assured that the case is being handled with utmost sensitivity and seriousness, and that strict legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
