New Delhi:Veteran Bollywood actor Ashish Vidyarthi has reassured fans about his health after he and his wife, Rupali Barua, were involved in a road accident in Guwahati on January 2, 2026. The incident reportedly took place late at night while the couple was crossing the road, when a motorcycle hit them.
Addressing concerns, the actor went live on Instagram on Saturday to share an update on their condition. In the video caption, he wrote,“Rupali and I are well. We are under observation, but doing fine. Thank you for all your love.”
During the Instagram Live session, Ashish Vidyarthi explained that he decided to go live after noticing multiple news reports about the incident. He shared that both he and Rupali are safe, with only minor injuries. While Rupali remains under medical observation as a precaution, he confirmed that there is nothing serious to worry about.
He also urged people not to sensationalise the incident, emphasising that the situation is under control. The actor further revealed that he checked on the condition of the motorcycle rider involved in the accident and confirmed that the individual has regained consciousness. Wishing well-being for everyone involved, he thanked fans and well-wishers for their concern and support.
For those unaware, Ashish Vidyarthi married digital creator Rupali Barua in 2023. He was earlier married to Vidyarthi Pillo, and the couple parted ways in 2022. The actor has a son, Arth Vidyarthi, from his first marriage.
