Bigg Boss OTT 2 runner-up Abhishek Malhan has addressed fresh speculation about an alleged relationship with fellow contestant Jiyaa Shankar, firmly denying the claims and requesting privacy.

The rumours, which recently escalated into talk of a possible engagement, prompted Malhan to publicly clarify his position. He expressed frustration over the recurring narratives and said such speculation affects not only him but also Jiyaa Shankar and their families.

“I want to make one thing very clear—please stop linking my name with anyone. I was part of a show three years ago, and that chapter ended there. My choices and stance were made very clear back then, and nothing has changed since,” Malhan wrote.

He added that the rumours tend to resurface every year without context and said he prefers to focus on his work rather than entertain assumptions. “I don’t participate in such games or unnecessary speculation. I request everyone to respect that and let things rest,” he said.

The buzz reportedly stemmed from a social media post by an entertainment handle that claimed the duo had made their relationship public and hinted at an engagement. Jiyaa Shankar has also maintained that there is no romantic involvement between her and Malhan.

Abhishek Malhan and Jiyaa Shankar appeared together on Bigg Boss OTT 2 and later collaborated on a music video, which appears to have fuelled repeated dating rumours.
