Udaipur, Rajasthan:An incident of stone pelting on a moving train has come to light in Udaipur district of Rajasthan. The attack took place on Train No. 19316, Veer Bhumi Express, while it was traveling between Jaysamand and Jawar Mines railway stations.
According to sources, unidentified miscreants hurled stones at the train near Sarsiya Phatak, resulting in the glass panes of the general coach being completely shattered. The sudden attack led to panic among passengers onboard. Three passengers sustained minor injuries due to broken glass and were given first aid.
Upon receiving information about the incident, railway authorities immediately stopped the train at the spot for a brief period. Railway staff and officials inspected the damaged coach and ensured passenger safety. Security agencies have been alerted, and an investigation has been initiated to identify those responsible for the attack.
Railway officials stated that passenger safety is a top priority and strict action will be taken against the culprits once identified. Further security measures are also being reviewed to prevent such incidents in the future.
