A tragic incident was reported from Faridabad where a routine homeschooling session allegedly turned fatal. A man is accused of beating his four-year-old daughter to death after she failed to write numbers up to 50, police said on Friday.
The accused, identified as Krishna Jaiswal (31), was arrested following a complaint lodged at the Sector 58 police station. He was later produced before a city court and remanded to one-day police custody. Jaiswal, a native of Sonbhadra district in Uttar Pradesh, was residing in a rented house in Faridabad with his family.
According to police, both Jaiswal and his wife worked in private companies. While the mother was away at work, Jaiswal stayed home to care for the children and supervise his daughter’s studies. The incident occurred on January 21, when the child was reportedly unable to complete a writing exercise assigned by her father. Investigators said he allegedly lost his temper and assaulted the child, causing fatal injuries.
The matter came to light later in the evening when the mother returned home and found the child lying dead. Police were immediately informed, and the body was sent for postmortem examination. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
